India’s flamboyant all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has voiced his thoughts on the rising criticism of the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. With rising annoyance among the cricketers regarding the poor approach of the BCCI and Indian team management towards the fitness of players, senior players aren’t showing an inclination towards the rehab and training at the academy.
As per media reports, the situation became worse after ace Indian pacers Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been struggling to maintain their fitness levels. While Shami failed to clear the yo-yo test, which is now compulsion for players to get selected for the national squad, Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s back injury saw him struggle in his England’s tour.
Kumar, who aggravated his minor injury during the final ODI against England at Headingley had to be dropped from the upcoming first three Tests. However, Yuvraj has come out in support of NCA as he took to his social media accounts to share his ordeal post-cancer.

Yuvi took to Twitter and expressed his thoughts, he wrote,”Hearing criticisms abt NCA. I wud like to share my experience that the reason why I was able to bounce back after cancer was the national cricket academy a great facility created by @bcci to help players recover from injuries with the help of best Physios & trainers in the country.”

Yuvraj donned the Indian jersey in West Indies in 2017. Ever since his failure to clear the yo-yo test, Yuvraj’s comeback to the Playing XI of the Men in Blue now seems to be no sooner than later.
Meanwhile, India will lock horns with England in the first Test of the five-match series from August 1 at Edgbaston without their ace bowler Bhuvi. Rohit Sharma too has been axed from the Test squad because of his recent failure to bully the red ball in South Africa. While Wriddhiman Saha has been replaced by Dinesh Karthik, Rishabh Pant got a maiden Test call-up. The chinaman Kuldeep Yadav has also been included in the squad besides Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.
