Yuvraj Singh Hilariously Troll Rishabh Pant On His 23rd Birthday

The veteran Indian all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh on Sunday posted a hilarious birthday wish for the young wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who turns 23 on October 4. Yuvraj, who has often been seen trolling his former teammates and colleagues, took to social media to wish the youngster but it was his caption that caught the attention of his fans.

Captioning the picture on Instagram, Yuvraj said, “Jiska naam hai Pant lekin harkatein hain nikkar waali… Wishing you a very Happy Birthday @rishabpant Stay safe and have a successful IPL buddy”.

Rishabh Pant is currently plying his trade for Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Pant has played a knock of 38 runs in DC’s 18-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Saturday night.

DC rode on captain Shreyas Iyer’s 38-ball 88 not out to post 228 for 4 on the board after being asked to bat first at the high-scoring Sharjah Cricket Stadium. During the chase, KKR never looked in the chase as they were eventually restricted 210 for 8 despite valiant knocks from Nitish Rana (58), Eoin Morgan (44), and Rahul Tripathi (36) thanks to some outstanding bowling by pacer Anrich Nortje and Harshal Patel.

The Delhi Capitals franchise decided to celebrate Pant’s 23rd birthday by posting a video of him hitting 23 sixes from their practice sessions.

Rishabh has always been a passionate player as he was seen in IPL for the first time in 2016 when he was hardly 20 years old and in the 2017 edition at that time. During IPL 2017 he lost his father and two days after his father’s funeral and scored a half-century off 33 balls. He made his debut in Test cricket in the year 2018 against England in Nottingham.

Pant has played 13 Tests so far. In this, he has scored 814 runs at an average of 38.8. He has also made 51 catches and 2 stumpings so far. He has also held the record for taking the most catches as a wicketkeeper in a Test. He took 11 catches in the match against Australia in Adelaide.

Talking about Rishabh’s ODI career, he has scored 374 runs so far. He has 410 runs in 20 matches in T20 International. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant has played 57 matches in IPL so far. During this time he has scored 1832 runs at a strike rate of 159.6.
