Yuvraj Singh predicts the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is a sports lover. While the 2018 FIFA World Cup has just started, the Indian all-rounder has predicted the World Cup winner and the Golden Boot winner of the tournament.

Yuvraj Singh is one of the famous and successful Indian cricketers. Making an international cricket debut in 2000, Yuvraj has played the important parts for India to secure 2002 ICC Champions Trophy (India was the join winner with Sri Lanka), 2007 ICC World T20, 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup etc. He has the numerous records in the international cricket including six sixes in an over in a T20I match (against England during the 2007 ICC World T20, Yuvraj hit six sixes in a Stuart Broad’s over).

Apart from that, the left-handed batsman is known as a sports lover. During his childhood, Yuvraj was a good tennis and roller skating player also. So, how he can sit back when one of the biggest sports tournaments, 2018 FIFA World Cup, has just started.

Yuvraj shared a video on his Instagram account where he chose France as the WC winner and Brazilian forward Neymar Jr. as the Golden Boot winner of the tournament. The top goal-scorer of the tournament has been awarded the Golden Boot.

In that video, Yuvraj quoted, “As you know cricket is my first love but football would be second. The Football World Cup has just started. I think France is going to win the World Cup and Neymar Jr. is going to win the Golden Boot.”


Russia is hosting the much-awaited 2018 FIFA World Cup which has been started on June 14 and will run till July 15. 32 teams are participating in this tournament including the hosts Russia and a total of 64 matches have to be played to determine the winner.
