Yuvraj Singh Recalls His First Meeting With Sachin Tendulkar

On Wednesday, Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh thanked the batting legend, Sachin Tendulkar for guiding him in his toughest phases and helping him believe in his abilities. Yuvraj also went on to recall his first meeting with India legend Sachin Tendulkar and said that he felt like he has shaken hands with god.

Yuvraj replied to a tweet from Sachin Tendulkar as he paid tribute to former India all-rounder exactly one year after his retirement, recalling the first time he saw the southpaw during a camp in Chennai.

The veteran all-rounder tweeted: “Thank u Master. When we 1st met, I felt I have shaken hands with god. U’ve guided me in my toughest phases. U taught me to believe in my abilities. I’ll play the same role for youngsters that you played for me. Looking 4wd to many more wonderful memories with you.”

Earlier Sachin in his Twitter wrote: “It’s been a year since You(Vi) retired..My first memory of you was during the Chennai camp & I couldn’t help but notice that you were very athletic & deceptively quick at Point. I needn’t talk about your 6 hitting ability, it was evident you could clear any ground in the world.”

Earlier on Wednesday, #MissYouYuvi started trending on Twitter as Yuvraj’s fans recalled the day the legendary cricketer hung up his boots by holding an emotional press conference on this day in 2019.

Yuvraj had also posted a heartfelt message for his fans for remembering one-year anniversary of his retirement from international cricket.

Sachin and Yuvraj share a great bond on and off the field. Both India greats shared the dressing room together for over a decade. They both were part of the 2003 Indian side which reached the final of the ICC World Cup before winning the trophy together in 2011 under MS Dhoni’s captaincy.
