Former Indian all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh shared a throwback video of himself on social media where he can be seen smashing a ball over covers for a six during a match during the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Yuvraj, who was a part of SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) back in 2017, smashed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fast bowler, Chris Woakes for a six in what is considered to be one of the toughest shots in cricket.

Yuvraj took to his Instagram account to share the post and captioned it saying, “This has to be one of my favourite shots in my career I have played! A very difficult shot to hit for a six over covers to a fast bowler”.

Yuvraj had decided to hang his boots from international cricket had announced his retirement from international cricket last year on June 10, 2019. He was always known for his ability to hit sixes with ease. One of the most memorable knocks that Yuvraj played was in the 2007 T20 World Cup against England. During the match, Yuvraj Singh went on to smash six sixes in an over against Stuart Broad and became the first batsman to achieve the feat in T20I cricket.

The veteran southpaw played a match-winning knock of 58 off 16 balls. He featured in 304 ODIs for the country and scored 8,701 runs within an average of 36.55. In T20Is, he went on to play as many as 59 matches for India and scored 1177 runs averaging 28.02 with a strike rate of 136.38.
Currently, India is going through a nationwide lockdown. Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus positive patients in India went past 49500 with almost 1700 people losing their lives on Wednesday, as per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
