Veteran India batsman, Yuvraj Singh, scored his second ODI hundred in an innings which will go down as one of his best in international cricket. He played the scintillating innings during the VB Series in 2004 against Australia at Sydney.

Sourav Ganguly, the then India captain had won the toss and elected to bat. India lost Ganguly (1) in the second over to Brett Lee. His opening partner, Parthiv Patel (28), also walked back to the pavilion in the 13th over. Yuvraj Singh came in to bat in the 16th over at 3-80, when Rahul Dravid (12) was dismissed by Andy Bichel.

Singh and VVS Laxman, who came in to bat at No. 3, stitched a 213-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Singh was eventually bowled by Lee in the ultimate over of the Indian innings. He ended up scoring 139 (122) with the help of 16 fours and two sixes. Laxman remained unbeaten on 106 (130) with the help of five fours.

As luck would have it, India ended up losing the match by two wickets as Australia were required to chase 225 runs in 34 overs because of the D/L Method.

Yuvraj Singh was declared the ‘Man of the Match’. It was his seventh such award in ODIs. Watch his full innings:
