Rajasthan Royals have started their IPL 2022 campaign better than any other team in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League on the back of their all-round show. They have recently played against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) where RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bowl first. Rajasthan Royals played well as they went on to post a decent total of 169/6 in 20 overs. Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal and Sanju Samson jointly ran Virat Kohli out.
Sanju Samson brilliantly fielded and quickly got across to his right and threw it which Chahal took and dislodged the bails. Virat Kohli, who was way down the track failed to get back in time. With this, Kohli got out for 5.
As far as RR’s innings are concerned, Jos Buttler top-scored with 70 off 47 balls with 6 big hits at an imperious strike rate of 148.94. Shimron Hetmyer was the second-best batsman, scoring 42 off 31 with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. Meanwhile, RCB got off to a good start in the form of Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat. The duo stitched 55 runs for the opening wicket.

On the other hand, Yuzvendra Chahal gave a crucial breakthrough by removing captain Faf for 29 runs. Soon after that, wickets started to fall very soon for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Meanwhile, Navdeep Saini removed Anuj Rawat for 26.
Sanju Samson said: “Not too disappointed (at losing the toss). It looks like a completely different surface to the ones we played in the last few games. Our standards in our bowling and batting. We should all take care of our own roles and try to win the small moments. Same team.”
Faf du Plessis said: “We’ll have a bowl. Just the trend and with the dew effect. The pitch does look very different, so we’ll have to see what the dew does. The fact that pleases me is that we hung in in the last game. It gives a lot of confidence to the group. Even though you aren’t playing at your best, it is pleasing. We’re playing the same team.”
