IPL 2018: Yuzvendra Chahal draws first blood

During the 45th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Delhi, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Yuzvendra Chahal drew first blood in the match.

Virat Kohli, captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, had won the toss and chose to field. Royal Challengers Bangalore had included Sarfraz Khan into their playing eleven in place of Manan Vohra. On the other hand, Delhi Daredevils handed IPL debuts to three players. Abhishek Sharma, Sandeep Lamichhane and Junior Dala were included in the squad in place of Glenn Maxwell, Liam Plunkett and Shahbaz Nadeem.

Delhi Daredevils had sent in Prithvi Shaw and Jason Roy to open the innings. Chahal, who took the new ball for his team, picked up his first wicket in the first over itself. On the last ball of the over, Shaw played all round a slider from Chahal which saw the ball hitting his stumps. Shaw scored 2 (4). Watch the video:

On the fourth ball of his second over, Chahal beat Roy with a googly as the ball went past the gap between his bat and pad to hit stumps. Watch the video:
