The veteran Indian opener, Rohit Sharma is leaving no stone unturned in keeping in touch with his Indian teammates through live videos on Instagram during the lockdown imposed by the Indian government due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Rohit was having a chat with Kevin Pietersen last week and said it was the former England batsman who gave him the idea to video chat on Instagram with his teammates.

On Wednesday, Rohit was having a conversation with the Indian pacer, Jasprit Bumrah as the two Mumbai Indians (MI) stars discussed a range of subjects, including Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, TV shows and cooking routines. Sharma’s good friend Yuzvendra Chahal was, as usual, keeping the two cricketers busy with non-stop comments on the chat. Notably, it was Chahal who was Rohit’s 1st guest on the video chat series.

As it turned out, Chahal asked if ‘Mumbai Indians were missing him?’ referring to the time when he played for three seasons with MI franchise. Rohit and Bumrah poked fun at the question, saying they will let Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and its captain (Virat Kohli) know about the question.

Responding to the question, Rohit said, “Tell him this message will go to RCB.” On the other hand, Bumrah said, “We will tell his captain. That means he wants to come back.” However, Rohit added, “If we were not able to win, then we would have missed him, we are winning. Why would we miss him? Chahal, you stay in Bangalore. Good for you.”

Chahal spent 3 seasons between 2011 and 2013 with the Mumbai Indians but the Indian leggie managed to play only 1 game for the 4-time champions in 2013. He was bought by RCB in 2014 and the leg-spinner went played a crucial role in Virat Kohli’s side. Chahal scalped 12 wickets in his 1st season and Bengaluru and has ever since been an integral member of the side. In 83 matches of RCB, Chahal has managed to pick up 99 wickets.
