As a sweet surprise, former Indian oepner, Wasim Jaffer has been winning the internet with his funny tweets since the IPL 2020. Only recently Jaffer had tweeted to Ajkinya Rahane and in a cryptic way asked him to pick Shubman Gill and KL Rahul in the Boxing Day Test. The seasoned leg-spinner, on Tuesday, tied the knot with his fiancee (now wife) Dhanashree Verma. The couple took to Instagram to post their wedding pictures and announce their marriage. Captioning the post on Instagram regarding the same, Yuzvendra Chahal wrote: We started at “Once upon a time” and found “Our happily ever after,” coz’ finally, #DhanaSaidYuz for infinity & beyond!”

The 42-year-old Wasim Jaffer took to Twitter to wish the newly married couple a lifetime of happiness together. He tweeted, “No matter how many matches you go to, she’ll be the match you’ll always come back to. Congratulations @yuzi_chahal and Dhanashree”.

The BCCI also wished the India leg-spinner as they tweeted, “Congratulations @yuzi_chahal and Dhanashree. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness”.

Chahal’s Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) also wished their star leg-spinner on the micro-blogging site.

Other former Indian cricketers Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh, too, wished the couple on Twitter:

Chahal and Dhanashree, who is a popular choreographer and YouTuber had been dating each other for quite a while before they announced their engagement in August. Dhanashree was seen traveling to UAE to accompany Chahal midway through the IPL 2020 season.

Wishes and congratulatory messages started pouring in for the couple from all corners soon after Yuzvendra Chahal announced his wedding on social media. The spinner was last seen in action during the recently-concluded T20I series between India and Australia Doan Under.

Chahal had impressed with the ball in the first T20I where he managed to scalp a brilliant three-wicket haul and played a key role in India’s win after coming on as a substitute for concussed Ravindra Jadeja. Chahal was not part of the Test squad and thus returned home after the conclusion of the limited-overs series against Australia.
