Yuzvendra Chahal Raring To Perform At The Narendra Modi Stadium

The Indian leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, who is part of the T20I squad against England, on Wednesday got an opportunity to bowl at the newly-refurbished Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and he was of the opinion that he is eagerly awaiting to represent India at the beautiful stadium.

Chahal was bowling during a net session on Tuesday as the Indian head coach Ravi Shastri was watching him closely. India will play England in the first T20I here on Friday. , 

Chahal posted the video of his net session on Twitter and captioned it as, “Loved bowling at the beautiful Narendra Modi Stadium. Can’t wait to wear the blues again and represent #TeamIndia. Looking forward to the series.”

This will be the first limited-overs international match to be played at the stadium after India and England played the last two matches of the four-match Test series at the biggest cricket stadium in the world. Yuzvendra Chahal played his last internatioanl match during the T20I series in Australia where he scalped four  wickets in three matches. He also featured in the ODI series where he managed to take just one wicket in a couple of games.

The 132,000 capacity stadium is the largest cricket ground in the world and it has been lauded for its magnificent facilities by players and commentators across the world.

The next few months are going to be busy for the stunning stadium as all the five T20I matches will be played over largest stadium in the world and then as many as 10 group stage matches of IPL 2021 are scheduled to be played over here apart from the play-offs and the final of the cash-rich league.
