Legendary Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan and his actress wife Sagarika Ghatge have embraced parenthood, announcing the birth of their first child, a baby boy, on Wednesday, April 16. The couple introduced their son to the world with a heartwarming Instagram post, revealing his name, Fatehsinh Khan.

The photo accompanying the announcement featured an intimate family moment, with Zaheer gently cradling the newborn in his lap as Sagarika wrapped her arms around the two. The caption read, “With love, gratitude and divine blessings, we welcome our precious little baby boy, Fatehsinh Khan.”

The couple’s love story first came to light in 2016 when they appeared together at Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech’s wedding. They tied the knot the following year. Interestingly, Sagarika once revealed in an interview that Zaheer was initially reluctant to speak to her. “He wouldn’t talk to me at all in the beginning,” she said, recalling how people around him suggested she wasn’t someone to approach casually.

Though they’ve kept their personal lives largely private, Sagarika and Zaheer remain one of the most admired celeb-cricketer couples. The Chak De India actress has stepped away from films in recent years to focus on their joint venture, the clothing label Akutee.

Zaheer, on the other hand, has continued his association with cricket. He’s currently the mentor and bowling coach for the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025 and is often seen offering insights as a commentator. With his past playing stints for RCB, Delhi, and Mumbai, Zaheer’s post-retirement journey has been equally impactful off the field.
