Ziva and MS Dhoni shared an adorable moment after CSK’s victory over DC on Wednesday as the daughter of the Chennai Super Kings skipper ran onto the field and embraced him. Dhoni has been leading CSK from the front once again this season as he has had an impact with the bat and his captaincy calls.
The four-time IPL Champions currently sit second in the points table after their win over DC, where Dhoni played a crucial knock for his team. After winning the toss and batting first, the CSK winning was kept under check by the DC bowlers before Shivam Dube broke the shackles with some big hits. All eyes were then on Dhoni as he delivered on the promise.

The CSK skipper played a cameo knock of 20 off nine deliveries which really came into life during an over against Khaleel Ahmed. The DC pacer was very economical in his first three overs but Dhoni was severe on him in his final six balls.
MS Dhoni smashed a couple of sixes and a boundary off Khaleel as the over went for 21 runs. The two maximums did get Sakshi Dhoni and Ziva excited and they were pictured high-fiving each other. Dhoni was dismissed in the next over but the damage was done. CSK scored 167 runs in their 20 overs. This total proved to be too much for DC who lost some early wickets and eventually could only muster up 140 runs.

The win has strengthened CSK’s position in one of the playoff spots this season. After the match was over, there was an adorable moment between MS Dhoni and his daughter Ziva, who ran onto the field to embrace her father. CSK will take on KKR next at the Chepauk on Sunday.
