During the 46th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Pune, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson took on Harbhajan Singh in a bid to increase the run-making process.
Earlier Mahendra Singh Dhoni had won the toss and chose to field. Both teams made a solitary change to their playing eleven. Chennai Super Kings included Deepak Chahar in place of Karn Sharma. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad brought in Deepak Hooda in place of Yusuf Pathan.
The Super Kings’ pacers did not give many opportunities to Sunrisers’ openers in the powerplay. Deepak Chahar, in particular, swung the ball at will, conceding 16 runs in four overs. However, once Dhawan and Williamson got their eye in, they up the ante in the middle overs.
Harbhajan Singh was introduced into the bowling attack in the seventh over of the innings. In his second over, the 14th of the innings, he conceded 16 runs. On the first delivery of the over, Williamson stepped out to a wide delivery. Adjusting well to the length of the delivery, he hit the veteran off-spinner for a six over his head. Watch the video:
