Sri Lanka Cricket will send their two security experts to analyze the situation for the third T20 International in Lahore, where Pakistan and Sri Lanka will lock horns on October 29. Both of the experts will reach there on October 26 and will stay in the city until the game ended. Air Commodore, Roshan Biyanwala, and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Nalaka de Silva will be those two security persons.

Ashley de Silva, SLC CEO said “They will conduct an assessment on security and send us a report. They have got some security plans as well and will share the information with officials in Pakistan.”

Sri Lankan selectors announced a very weak team for the T20I series after seven senior players along with coach Nic Pothas denied to travel Pakistan. The limited over skipper Upul Tharanga will miss this tour as well, which led Thisara Perera appointment as the skipper.

International cricket in Pakistan has been abandoned since 2009 when a terrorist attack took place on Sri Lankan team bus. Since then, only Zimbabwe has visited them for a short limited-over series.

However, International Cricket Council made an initiative by sending their World XI for a three-match T20I series, which was played last year.

The first game of Sri Lanka-Pakistan series will be played on October 26 in Abu Dhabi.
