Shardul’s first victim was Pooran, who was sent packing when Jadeja took a brilliant catch in the deep. Pooran, who provided Punjab a late flourish in the death overs was trying to smoke another six in the 18th over. However, he failed to clear Jadeja, who was stationed at deep mid-wicket.

Pooran’s shot had the elevation but he failed to clear the required distance as Jadeja reverse-cupped a stunning catch on the boundary line. Talking about the match, Punjab scored a competitive 178/4 in 20 overs after choosing to bat first against CSK. While Thakur emerged as the pick of the bowlers and took a brace of wickets, the CSK pacer was equally supported by Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo, who kept things airtight for the Punjab batsmen.
