Team India lost all the advantage they had gained on day 2 of the ongoing Test against Australia in Adelaide as they suffered the most drastic collapse in the first session on day three. The first session of Day 3 turned the game on its head, despite the fact that visitors were firmly on the driver’s seat after their bowlers’ scintillating display on day two of the Test. The likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav, and Ravichandran Ashwin put India in a commanding position as the hosts were bundled out for just 191.
On the third day, Mayank Agarwal and Jasprit Bumrah started the proceedings on day three with the scoreboard reading 9 for 1. Prithvi Shaw was out for 4 towards the end of day two. India could not even add another run before they lost Cheteshwar Pujara, Mayank Agarwal, and Ajinkya Rahane to find themselves reeling at 15 for 5 from 15 for 1.

Cummins got the better of Pujara with a stunner before Josh Hazlewood put India in more trouble as he got Agarwal and Rahane for 9 and 0 in the same over. All eyes were on Virat Kohli when wickets were falling in heaps at one end.
However, the India skipper failed to stand for his team when it mattered the most as he could score just 4 before being sent back by Cummins. Kohli’s dismissal saw India reduced to 19 for 6. The game was Kohli’s last of the four-match series. He will return home after this Test to attend the birth of his first child. In the end, India got all-out for 36 runs, registering their lowest ever Test total.

Wow!! What a bowling display that was from Pat Cummins & Josh Hazlewood here in Adelaide. Just outstanding. Have to feel for the Indian batsman as never saw that coming – it was one of those days where the batsman nicked everything & didn’t play and miss at all ! Unbelievable…
