Ravindra Jadeja Forcefully Demands MS Dhoni’s Wicket During Practice

It happened for the first time in IPL 2020, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) failed to qualify for the playoffs under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. They finished 7th in the points table last season in the United Arab Emirates. The three-time IPL champions locked horns with Delhi Capitals in their opening fixture at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The yellow brigade started their journey with a dominating loss against Rishabh Pant-led Capitals.

Rishabh Pant who is leading the team in absence of regular captain Shreyas Iyer led the team ever so well. CSK was chasing a huge target of 189. But, Delhi Capitals chased down the target with more than an over to spare. The IPL 2020 runners-up won the game by 7 wickets owing to a brilliant knock of Shikhar Dhawan who scored 85 off 54 balls whereas Prithvi Shaw scored 72 off 38 balls.

On the other hand, Suresh Raina made a spectacular comeback with a half-century for CSK. Shikhar Dhawan was named the man of the match for his innings as he smashed 10 boundaries and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 157.4. Prithvi Shaw also played quite well. The youngster smashed 9 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 189.5.

Recently, a video that started making rounds on the internet shows how Ravindra Jadeja demanded MS Dhoni’s wicket in the training session. This incident took place ahead of the start of the 14th edition of the cash-rich league.

The video features the likes of all-rounder Jadeja and the CSK skipper, Dhoni. According to the video clip, Jadeja managing to deceive the CSK skipper. Meanwhile, Jadeja gets the better of Dhoni in the session.

The left-arm all-rounder deceived MS Dhoni with a tricky delivery which defeated the skipper and went on to hit his pads. Meanwhile, the CSK all-rounder demanded MS Dhoni’s wicket forcefully just for fun. The video clip has gone viral on social media platforms. Talking about CSK’s first match, apart from Suresh Raina, Moeen Ali also played a decent knock of 36 whereas Sam Curran scored 34. MS Dhoni failed to deliver the goods in the first game.
