Bangladesh and Australia locked horns in a five-match T20I series ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE. Bangladesh gave Aussies some serious thumping by winning the series by 4-1 as they clinched the fifth T20I by 60 runs. This is Bangladesh’s first-ever series win against Australia in any format.
Bangladesh won the toss in the final game and opted to bat first. Mahedi Hasan and Mohammad Naim got them off to a good start with 42 runs for the opening wicket in the first four overs. However, Australian bowlers pulled things back from there on as they didn’t allow Bangla batsmen to run away with the game.

Naim top-scored with 23 while Mahmudullah scored 19 runs just behind 18 extra runs. Nathan Ellis and Daniel Christian bagged two wickets each and conceded 16 and 17 runs, respectively, in their four overs.
Bangladesh managed to score 122/8 in 20 overs.
Australia, in response, didn’t get a good start and lost Christian in the second over, who was promoted to open the innings. Matthew Wade scored 22 runs in as many balls which includes two towering sixes. Ben McDermott chipped in with 17 runs. But both players got out in quick succession.
From there on, Bangladesh spinners waved their magic and put Australia in a hole as they got all-out for 62 runs and recorded their lowest-ever T20I score. Shakib Al Hasan crumbled their middle-order in a spell of 3.4-1-9-4 and enforced a shambolic collapse.

Australia lost five wickets for five runs and sunk from 53/4 to 58/9 and enjoyed their worst-ever T20I outing. Bangladesh won the match by 60 runs and the five-game series by 4-1. Both teams will play their next T20I in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE.

Bangladesh stunned Australia. This time with the bowl , they bowled out the visitor only for 62 runs and claimed the series 4-1. Shakib Al Hasan being the star Bowler this time took 4 crucial wickets with an economy of 2.5 . The results are hard to digest. #BANvAUS #Cricket
