James Anderson gets angry with Jasprit Bumrah for bowling bouncers

The second test match between England and India has been taking place at Lord’s. Both KL Rahul and Joe Rott has scored crucial centuries for their respective teams. But it was the fight between James Anderson and Jasprit Bumrah with the bat and ball respectively that made headlines.

India put up a total of 364 runs after which England took a lead of 27 runs. They posted 391 runs in their first innings as well. Meanwhile, Joe Root held the fort from one end which frustrated Indian bowlers who were unable to dismiss him. Amid this time, James Anderson came to bat on the third day.

After not getting a wicket, Jasprit Bumrah became tired as well as frustrated and came to bowl towards the end of the day, while James Anderson was on the strike. And, soon after the first ball hit him on his helmet after which the veteran had a mandatory concussion test. However, Bumrah didn’t stop and continued to bowl bouncers at him. Along with this, Bumrah also bowled four no-balls which saw a ten-ball over as well.

Even, James Anderson too was seen frustrated as he wanted to get off the strike. And, after his dismissal, James Anderson was seen furiously saying something to Jasprit Bumrah in the dugout. While he looked really unhappy, Jasprit Bumrah smiled as well.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan captain Salman Butt has said that, apart from India speedster Mohammed Siraj, the other Indian bowlers lacked the attitude on Day 3 of the Lord’s Test against England. He also added that when there is not much help from the surface, pace bowlers should try extra hard as well.

After resuming their innings on 119 for 3, England ended up scoring 391 as captain Joe Root remained unbeaten on 180. For India, Siraj picked up 4 for 94 whereas Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami took three and two wickets respectively. While speaking on his YouTube channel, Butt said that India’s bowling performance on Day 3 at Lord’s wasn’t good enough as well.
