Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli were the overnight batsmen who had the uphill task to negotiate the opening burst of the new ball. James Anderson and Ollie Robinson were bowling in tandem and the former trapped Pujara for his overnight score of 91, who tried to shoulder arm in incoming delivery.

Ravindra Jadeja played few shots to up the ante but England had already gained a match-winning lead and crushed every hope of a comeback. Jadeja perished after scoring 30 runs in 25 balls.

Robinson grabbed a stunning fifer – out of which four wickets came today. Craig Overton got three in the second innings while Anderson and Moeen Ali managed one wicket each to skittle India for 278 in the second innings.

Losing all the wickets before the lunch break describe how poor India were with the bat on day four. They lost their last eight wickets for 63 runs in 16 overs. In the first innings, India had collapsed from 56/3 to 67/9 before getting all-out for 78.

Robinson took seven wickets in the match and was adjudged man of the match.

The series stands 1-1 after the first three Test matches. The fourth Test will be played at The Oval in London from September 2.
