The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice president Rajeev Shukla has commented on the demands of the cancellation of the India-Pakistan match in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE and Oman. Both teams are scheduled to play on October 24 in Dubai.

Rajeev Shukla, meanwhile, condemned the attacks on non-Kashmiri civilians in the valley and he mentioned that the BCCI can’t pull out from the ‘international commitment’.
“We strongly condemn the killings(J&K). Strict action should be taken against terror organisations. As far as the match (T20 WC IND vs PAK) is concerned, under ICC’s international commitments you can’t refuse to play against anyone. You’ve to play in ICC tournaments,” Rajeev Shukla said.
The bilateral tied between India and Pakistan are shut since the Mumbai terror attack back in 2008. Pakistan visited India once in late 2012 and played two T20Is and three ODIs. Since then, both of the teams only play against each other in multi-nation events.
