The Super 12 round of the T20 World Cup 2021 has started with Australia and South Africa’s game. Now, England and West Indies are facing each other in the repeat of T20 WC 2016’s final which West Indies won.
Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to bowl first. David Willy, Tom Curran, Sam Billings and Mark Wood are sitting out for England. West Indies left out Hayden Walsh, Oshane Thomas, Roston Chase and Andre Fletcher.

Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis walked out to start the proceeding for West Indies. England didn’t take long to separate the two openers as Chris Woakes removed Lewis in the second over of the innings. Lewis went for an areal shot and barely crossed the 30-yard circle. Moeen Ali ran backwards and completed a fine catch to dismiss the opener for 6 runs in 5 balls.

Moeen Ali removed Simmons and Shimron Hetmyer in successive over afterwards. Chris Gayle got out on the last ball of the powerplay as West Indies were reduced to 31/4 in six overs. They lost further wickets and collapsed for 55 runs in 14 overs.

Adil Rashid took four wickets for two runs in just 2.2 overs. Moeen Ali and Tymal Mills registered identical bowling figures with both picking up two wickets for 17 runs. However, Moeen bowled a maiden over as well in his spell. Chris Jordan and Woakes grabbed one wicket apiece.
