In the 27th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) locked horns with each other to gain 2 points. Batting first after losing the toss in the match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Bangalore set a target of 190 runs to Delhi. DC started the chase with all guns blazing as they score more than 55 runs in the powerplay but they were down to 112/4 at the end of 14 overs.

However, in the 14th over, Mitchell Marsh, who was playing his first match in IPL 2022, was dismissed standing on the non-striker end. Delhi Capitals lagged behind in the middle overs after their openers, David Warner and Prithvi Shaw started off well while chasing a big target.

At the score of 93 runs, DC had lost 2 wickets, and nothing went in their favor after that to top it all, Mitchell Marsh was seen struggling throughout the match. Due to this, his wicket became a topic of discussion on social media more than his innings as he score just 14 runs in 24 balls. 

The incident took place in the 14th over of Delhi Capitals’ innings, Rishabh Pant was on strike and Mitchell Marsh was standing at the other end. Rishabh Pant played a powerful straight drive on the last ball of the over. Which went straight to the stump of the non-striker’s end.

But before the ball hit the stump, bowler Wanindu Hasranga put his hand on the ball and during this time Mitchell Marsh was standing outside the crease. Due to which he was declared out, now the video of his wicket is becoming fiercely viral.
