The 58th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is being played between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. In this match, DC skipper, Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first. His decision seems to be correct, as his bowlers sent Jos Buttler to the pavilion early and kept the RR batters silent in the first 10 overs. During the match, surprisingly, the veteran spinner, R Ashwin came to bat at number three.
DC bowlers pretty easily managed to dominate the strong Rajasthan Royals batting lineup in the first innings and they were able to make a mere total of only 160 runs. After starting the season on a high, Rajasthan Royals star Jos Buttler departed with a single-digit score.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Devdutt Padikkal stepped up the event and scored 50 and 48 runs respectively. It was through their combined effort that RR was able to reach past a defendable score and they can totally go for a win from this.
In the middle of the first innings, youngster Kamlesh Nagarkoti entered the field as a replacement for Kuldeep Yadav who had been injured. Right after coming in, he did the unthinkable and ended up taking a fabulous catch to send off Debdutt Padikkal.

Anrich Nortje was also playing his first IPL match after a long time and he has finally come back from his injury with a bang. Nortje scalped a couple of wickets in today’s match and the one of Devdutt Padikkal that came after the fabulous catch of Kamlesh Nagarkoti is definitely the most talked about.
