Former India skipper MS Dhoni has become the brand ambassador of JioCinema. The legendary Indian cricketer will be seen promoting network initiatives on the platform. Ahead of the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Dhoni signed a professional deal with leading media agency Viacom18 and will be seen promoting Sports18 and JioCinema on his social media accounts. Notably, Viacom18 had earlier bagged the digital media rights for the upcoming IPL season.
Talking more about his latest deal, MS Dhoni will also be featured in JioCinema’s campaign to promote the upcoming IPL edition. Excited for his latest signing, the 41-year-old said that digital platforms will be offering desired choices and come with a personalized interface that lets viewers enjoy the game of cricket in a way they like.

Following Chennai Super Kings’s dismal show in the league last year, this time, Dhoni will bank on his leadership skills to make his team champions for the fifth time. In the previous IPL edition, CSK ended up in the ninth position with four victories and 10 losses. On March 31, CSK will kick off their IPL season, taking on defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) in the tournament opener at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
