In the 6th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be taking on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The highly anticipated 20-over battle is slated to be hosted at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. In their first game of the tournament, CSK endured much disappointment, falling short of defending champions Gujarat Titans in an away fixture.

A lack of maturity in the bowling department was mostly responsible for the loss. Their batting, except Ruturaj Gaikwad, also looked quite pale. These issues should be addressed immediately by the Yellow Army to get back on the winning track.

Lucknow Super Giants outclassed Delhi Capitals in their season opener. Even after having a slower start, their batting unit managed to post a 190-plus score on the board. The Lucknow bowling lineup was equally brilliant with Mark Wood wrapping up the game with five wickets. Destroyed by the lethal bowling attack, Delhi Capitals went on to suffer a massive 50-run defeat.

Chennai Super Kings will be missing their Sri Lankan duo Matheesha Pathirana and Maheesh Theekshana as they are on international duty with their country. They will be keen to stick with their same lineup despite the defeat in the last match.

Tushar Deshpande’s introduction as Impact Player wasn’t a fruitful one, but youngster Rajvardhan Hangargekar impressed on his debut with 3 wickets. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s sublime batting against the Titans was a huge positive as they will bank on the batter a lot this season.

Probable XI: Devon Conway, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali, Ben Stokes, Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (wk/c), Mitchell Santner, Deepak Chahar, Rajvardhan Hangargekar

Impact player: Ajinkya Rahane, Shaik Rasheed, Nishant Sindhu, Tushar Deshpande, and Prashant Solanki

Lucknow had an outstanding outing against Delhi Capitals. They batted well and then backed it up with disciplined, fiery bowling to register a big victory. KL Rahul would love to keep the same team but Chennai’s surface can tempt him to play another spinner in the match.

Kyle Mayers and Mark Wood were the standout overseas players in the last match and the duo are set to play a pivotal part again in the trip to Chennai. Wood picked up five wickets (5/14 in 4 overs) in just his second game, and will be keen to shine against CSK a franchise he was part of in the past. Mayers played a stormy knock of 73 on his IPL debut.

Probable XI: KL Rahul (c), Kyle Mayers, Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Ayush Badoni, Mark Wood, Jaydev Unadkat, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan

Impact player: Krishnappa Gowtham, Amit Mishra, Yash Thakur, Manan Vohra and Prerak Mankad

Fantasy XI Suggestion 1:

MS Dhoni, Devon Conway, Kyle Mayers, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Deepak Hooda, Ben Stokes (c), Ravindra Jadeja, Marcus Stoinis (vc), Deepak Chahar, Mark Wood, Ravi Bishnoi
