Mumbai Indians (MI) has suffered a huge setback ahead of their crunch game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), as the English pacer, Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the IPL 2023. MI on Tuesday announced that Chris Jordan will join the squad for the rest of the season. Archer has only played five matches for the Mumbai Indians and has only taken two wickets at an economy rate of 9.50.
Chris Jordan has replaced Jofra Archer, whose recovery and fitness continue to be monitored by ECB. Jofra will be returning to England to focus on his rehabilitation. Archer returned to international cricket earlier this year after a nearly two-year absence due to elbow and back injuries that both jeopardized his career.
