The BCCI’s green initiative, which focuses on promoting environmental sustainability, recently came to light. As part of this initiative, the BCCI has committed to planting 500 trees for every dot ball bowled during the IPL 2023 Playoffs. In the IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 match between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bowl first at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday.

The upcoming Eliminator match will take place on Wednesday at the same venue, featuring Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants. Following that, Qualifier 2 and the final will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

Earlier in the game, GT won the toss and elected to bowl first. However, CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikwad had a stroke of luck as he was initially dismissed but was given a reprieve due to a no-ball bowled by young Vidarbha pacer Darshan Nalkande.
