Even Perry herself appeared taken aback by the unexpected outcome, raising her hands to her head in surprise. Perry’s batting brilliance wasn’t limited to that one shot. By the time Sophie Ecclestone dismissed her in the final over, Perry had already propelled the Challengers to a commanding position. Coming to the crease after the dismissal of Sabbhineni Meghana, Perry initially took a cautious approach, assessing the opposition’s bowlers.

Once she settled in, Perry combined forces with Smriti Mandhana to steer RCB to an imposing total of 198 for 3. The duo forged a formidable partnership of 95 runs off 64 balls for the second wicket, laying the foundation for their team’s formidable score.
