As per the present schedule, the English cricket team will arrive Sri Lanka on October 1, 2018, to play 5 ODIs, only T20I and 3 Tests against the hosts Sri Lanka.
The ODI series will run from October 10 to October 23 while the only T20I match will be played on October 27. Due to the rainy seasons, there are only two ODIs have one rain-reserve day each which are the following days.

England will also play four tour games during that tour. Before the beginning of the ODI series, England will play two 50-over tour matches on October 5 and 6.
Later, before the beginning of the Test series, England will play twice two-day tour matches (details in the following).
It will be England’s first tour in Sri Lanka after 2014/15 season. In their last Sri Lanka tour, England had played only 7-match ODI series where they had lost that series by the 5-2 margin. England had played their last Test match in Sri Lanka during the April 2012. In the 2012 March-April, England had played the two-match Test series in Sri Lanka where that ended drawn by the 1-1 margin. However, the 2007 December was the last time when England had played more than two-match Test series on the Sri Lankan soil (played 3-match Test series). England has won twice the Test series on the Sri Lankan soil (won one-off Test in February 1982 and won three-match Test series in early 2001).
Meanwhile, England has played only T20I against Sri Lanka on the Sri Lankan soil till the date. It was the Super Eight stage clash in the ICC World T20 2012, where Sri Lanka had won by 19 runs.
