Chandigarh airport will be closed for repairs between May 12 to 31. In such a situation, the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) has urged BCCI to change the venue of two matches of Kings XI Punjab. Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) is scheduled to play four matches in Mohali between May 4 and 14.
BCCI executive president CK Khanna also confirmed the news as he told Times of India, “We have received a request from PCA and since it is a good thing, the Governing Council of IPL will definitely take notice of this.”

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) has to play against Kolkata Knight Riders on 12th May, while they will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 14. Punjab have to play against Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on 4 and 6 May.
In addition to playing 4 home gamed in Mohali, Kings XI Punjab have to play the other three home matches in Indore. This is the only IPL team which will play domestic matches in the other city. Talking about the same, one of the sources fo TOI said, “There is an attempt to get one or two matches in Lucknow.”

The IPL governing meeting council can be held in Mumbai on Friday. Sources say that the governing council meeting may also decide on the conduct of two playoff matches. These matches are proposed in Pune. It is based on the rule that according to which the playoff matches will be played on the home ground of one of the teams that reached the finals of the last season. There are also indications that some members of the Governing Council want to organize some matches in Pune.
