Indian cricket stars are set to reunite in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, for a special occasion—Rishabh Pant’s sister, Sakshi Pant, is getting married. The wedding, scheduled to take place at a private venue on Tuesday and Wednesday, is expected to see the presence of some of Indian cricket’s biggest names, including skipper Rohit Sharma, batting maestro Virat Kohli, and former captain MS Dhoni.

Sakshi Pant is tying the knot with businessman Ankit Chaudhary, marking the culmination of a relationship that has spanned nearly nine years. The couple got engaged last year, and their engagement ceremony in London earlier this year was graced by MS Dhoni, among other close friends and family. Sakshi, who pursued her studies in the UK, has built a significant following on social media, often sharing glimpses of her travels and fashion-forward lifestyle.
For Rishabh Pant, this wedding celebration comes after a remarkable period in his cricketing career. The star wicketkeeper-batter was part of India’s triumphant Champions Trophy 2025 squad, playing a key role as India defeated New Zealand in the final to secure their third title.

Pant’s comeback in Test cricket was equally impactful. In September 2024, he smashed a match-winning century against Bangladesh, equaling Dhoni’s record for the most Test hundreds by an Indian wicketkeeper. His performances further solidified his stature as one of the country’s most valuable players.

Adding another milestone to his career, Pant made history at the IPL 2025 mega auction by becoming the most expensive player ever. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) secured him for a record-breaking ₹27 crore, surpassing Punjab Kings’ bid of ₹26.75 crore for Shreyas Iyer just moments earlier. The franchise later appointed him as their captain for the upcoming season, which kicks off on March 22.
As Pant prepares to lead LSG in IPL 2025, he will first take a moment to celebrate his sister’s wedding with close friends and family, marking yet another significant moment in his eventful journey.
