Chennai Super Kings’ talisman MS Dhoni shared a warm and amusing moment with his longtime friend and former teammate Dwayne Bravo ahead of CSK’s IPL 2025 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders. As the two caught up during CSK’s training session at Chepauk, Dhoni cheekily greeted Bravo by calling him a “traitor” — a playful jibe at his former teammate, who is now mentoring the opposition.

This season has already seen an unexpected twist with Dhoni stepping back into the captaincy role after Ruturaj Gaikwad was sidelined due to injury. With CSK enduring a rough patch, losing four consecutive games, Dhoni’s leadership comeback is seen as a much-needed spark for the team.

Despite their new roles on opposite sides, the camaraderie between Dhoni and Bravo remains strong. Bravo, a vital part of CSK’s IPL triumphs in 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2022, also served as their bowling coach in 2023. His switch to KKR this season, replacing Gautam Gambhir, who has taken over as India’s head coach, was met with surprise and some nostalgia from CSK fans.

As the two IPL heavyweights gear up for a high-stakes encounter, fans are eager to see if Dhoni can inspire yet another CSK revival — this time, against a side mentored by one of his most trusted lieutenants.
