Royal Challenger’s Bangalore (RCB) didn’t have a dream start to IPL 2018 but yet again suffered a six-wicket loss against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. Nothing seems to have changed in the red army camp since last ten years yet giving another tumbling and disappointing performance. On the contrary, KKR has always been a balanced team and has become one of the teams to defeat Bangalore head to head most of the times. Thus Sports Editor of Aaj Tak’s Vikrant Gupta’s remarks on Twitter was not well accepted by the knight fans.
RCB started off well after losing the toss getting up to a total of 176 runs. McCullum gave a blistering start with thunderous boundaries well accompanied by ABD and Mandeep Singh. But Virat played a bit slow and after both, the main wickets fell off there was no lower middle order to tackle the pressure resulting in few runs short on the board. Kolkata like always breathed on Narine factor, with the West Indies all-rounder scoring a 19 ball fifty and also handy with bowling. The knights like always never disappointed with the new camp.

Vikrant Gupta made a huge mistake in taking to Twitter to depict this third match result as an Upset. Thus in no time mighty fans came rolling in with their statistics and questioned on Vikrant’s views.

How can it be a upset, only great players don't make good team, and if it was so all the 10 title's of IPL would have been different.
In cricket the team which play's better than opposition on that day wins the match.

With this RCB has suffered twelfth consecutive loss ever since last season. Though Virat is confident of his team this season to perform up to worth still thinks to seem to fall apart and Kohli blamed his slow innings to be a reason for his team’s loss. On the other hand, the Knights new captain Karthik had led the team well with some brave captaincy decisions and they will take all the confidence after winning the first game before taking over Chennai Super Kings on their home ground at Chepauk.
