India national cricket team were richly rewarded after lifting the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 title, receiving a prize of USD 2.63 million (approximately ₹24.28 crore) from the International Cricket Council. India sealed the championship with a commanding 96-run victory over the New Zealand national cricket team in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The triumph was historic, as India became the first team to successfully defend the T20 World Cup title and win the trophy on home soil.

The runners-up, New Zealand, were awarded USD 1.42 million from the tournament’s total prize pool of USD 11.25 million. Meanwhile, the two semifinalists — the South Africa national cricket team and the England cricket team — also received significant payouts. South Africa earned USD 1.05 million, while England took home USD 974,000 for their campaign. These rewards are part of the increased prize structure introduced by the ICC in 2024, which significantly boosted financial incentives across global tournaments.
