Star India batter Virat Kohli recently took a spiritual break from the ongoing IPL 2026 season, visiting Vrindavan with his wife, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma. The couple sought blessings and guidance from Premanand Ji Maharaj at his ashram, Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj, where they also participated in an ‘Ekantik Vartalaap’ — a private spiritual interaction.

Kohli’s visit came during a short break in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL schedule. In their previous match against Delhi Capitals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Kohli scored 19 off 13 balls while opening the innings. With a few days before their next fixture against Gujarat Titans, the veteran cricketer chose to step away from the game and focus on his spiritual side.
This marks the couple’s third visit to Vrindavan in the past five months, highlighting their growing spiritual inclination. Earlier this year, they visited the ashram in February, shortly after celebrating their son Akaay’s birthday. Their connection with the ashram has deepened over time, with multiple visits recorded last year as well — including one just a day after Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket.

A video shared by the ashram’s YouTube channel shows Kohli and Anushka seated quietly among devotees, attentively listening to Premanand Ji Maharaj’s discourse. Their calm presence and participation reflect a personal commitment to spiritual growth amid demanding professional schedules.

Over the years, the couple has frequently visited prominent religious sites, including the Mahakaleshwar Temple and the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, reinforcing their faith-driven approach to life.

On the cricketing front, Kohli is set to return to action soon as Royal Challengers Bengaluru prepare to face Gujarat Titans in their upcoming IPL 2026 clash. RCB currently sit second on the points table with four wins from six matches, and Kohli’s experience will be key as they aim to maintain their strong run this season.
