While the tension lasted only a few seconds, Suryakumar Yadav quickly stepped in to calm things down, ensuring the situation didn’t escalate further in this high-profile MI vs CSK encounter. Given the intense rivalry between the Chennai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians, such moments aren’t entirely unexpected.

CSK’s bowlers then ensured there was no way back for Mumbai. Akeal Hosein and Mukesh Choudhary dominated the Powerplay, reducing MI to 29/3, with two top-order batters dismissed for ducks. Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav tried to rebuild with a 73-run partnership, but Hosein turned the game decisively by removing Tilak for 37.
