The tragic incident occurred when the two cousins—20-year-old Yagya and 14-year-old Abhav—were returning home after attending a Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru match in Delhi. According to reports, their motorcycle was struck by a truck near Ashoka Road in a hit-and-run case. Both were rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital but were declared dead on arrival.

Members of the ‘DC Toli’ fan group, the cousins were well known among fellow supporters and regularly followed the team.
