Mitchell Marsh delivered a breathtaking batting masterclass for Lucknow Super Giants against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2026, smashing a sensational century at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. In a season where LSG have struggled to find consistency at the top of the order, Marsh stepped up with a commanding knock that combined aggression, composure, and clean ball-striking.

From the very beginning of the innings, Marsh looked in complete control. The Australian all-rounder timed the ball beautifully and never allowed the RCB bowling attack to settle. Opening the innings alongside uncapped batter Arshin Kulkarni, Marsh carried the responsibility almost single-handedly and turned the innings into a one-man show. While wickets and pressure built around him, the experienced right-hander continued to dominate both pace and spin with remarkable confidence.

Marsh brought up his century in just 48 deliveries, registering the fastest hundred ever scored by a Lucknow Super Giants batter in IPL history. The landmark moment came against RCB pacer Romario Shepherd in the 14th over. Shepherd bowled a full toss outside off stump at 132.7 kph, but Marsh reacted instantly. With excellent balance and quick hands, he opened the face of the bat and expertly guided the ball through the point region for a boundary to complete a memorable hundred.
What made the innings even more impressive was the challenging nature of the pitch. Ahead of the match, experts predicted assistance for both spinners and fast bowlers due to visible cracks, minimal grass coverage, and the black-soil surface at the Ekana Stadium. Former India cricketer Deep Dasgupta had highlighted before the game that bowlers hitting hard lengths could trouble batters in the middle overs, especially on an abrasive surface.

Despite those conditions and an in-form RCB bowling attack, Marsh looked unfazed throughout the innings. He rarely appeared uncomfortable and handled every challenge with authority, reminding everyone why he remains one of the most destructive batters in T20 cricket. Unsurprisingly, fans flooded social media with praise as the Australian star produced one of the finest knocks of IPL 2026 so far.
