Patel raced to his half-century in just 13 deliveries, equalling the long-standing IPL record set by Yashasvi Jaiswal during the 2023 season.

Patel had already stormed to 42 runs in just 10 deliveries before calmly rotating strike to move closer to the milestone. He eventually reached his fifty in style with a boundary toward cow corner on the 13th ball of his innings, triggering massive celebrations inside the stadium.
