Rohit struggled to find rhythm throughout his innings and managed just 25 runs off 26 balls before Chahal ended his stay in style. The dismissal came on the third ball of the 10th over when Chahal bowled a perfectly disguised leg-break. The delivery pitched around middle and off stump before sharply turning away.

Caught deep inside his crease, Rohit attempted a drive through the covers but was completely beaten by the spin and bounce. The ball sneaked past the outside edge and crashed into the stumps, leaving the Mumbai opener stunned. According to available T20 records, it was the first time since 2014 that Chahal had dismissed Rohit Sharma in the format.
