Prasidh Krishna delivered one of the standout moments of Day 2 in the one-off Test between India and Afghanistan, producing a brilliant delivery to dismiss Sediqullah Atal at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh on Sunday, June 7. The Indian pacer struck in the ninth over of Afghanistan’s first innings with a ball that showcased both precision and movement.

Bowling from around the wicket, Prasidh pitched the ball on a good length and generated sharp inward movement after pitching. Atal, who looked settled at the crease, attempted a defensive stroke but was undone by the late movement. The ball took a faint inside edge before crashing into the off stump, sending it cartwheeled and giving India another crucial breakthrough.
The dismissal ended Atal’s innings on 17 runs from 27 deliveries, which included three boundaries. More importantly, it left Afghanistan struggling at 40/2 as India tightened their grip on the contest.
