Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his dream start to international cricket with another breathtaking innings in the third and final T20I against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club. The 15-year-old opener displayed a perfect blend of maturity and aggression, scoring a superb 81 off 49 deliveries to power India towards another commanding total. Although he narrowly missed out on what would have been a memorable maiden international century, his knock once again underlined why he is regarded as one of Indian cricket’s brightest young prospects.

Walking in to open the innings, Sooryavanshi looked composed from the outset despite India losing Abhishek Sharma early. He paced his innings smartly, bringing up his second T20I half-century in just 31 balls, before shifting gears against the Zimbabwe bowlers. The left-hander played fearless cricket, smashing eight fours and four sixes at an impressive strike rate of 165.31. His fluent stroke play laid the perfect platform for India to post a competitive total in the series finale.

Sooryavanshi’s remarkable innings sparked massive praise across social media, with cricket fans and experts celebrating yet another mature performance from the teenage sensation. The youngster also etched his name into the record books by becoming the first men’s international cricketer to register two 50-plus scores before turning 16 years old. His knock of 81 is now his highest score in international cricket and another significant milestone in his rapidly developing career.

After enduring a disappointing tour of England, Sooryavanshi arrived in Zimbabwe under pressure to deliver. However, he answered every question with the bat, finishing as India’s highest run-scorer in the three-match T20I series. The left-hander accumulated 151 runs at an average of 50.33 and a stunning strike rate of 196.10, including two half-centuries.
