Punjab wicketkeeper-batter Noorveer Singh was involved in one of the most unusual dismissals of the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League after he was run out while shadow batting. The bizarre incident occurred during Bathinda Royalsβ chase against Jalandhar Warriors and quickly went viral on social media.
Chasing a challenging target of 206, Noorveer was at the crease during the final delivery of the 14th over. After playing the ball, the wicketkeeper-batter continued with his shadow-batting routine, seemingly believing that the over had already ended.
However, the ball was still in play. Jalandhar Warriors bowler Abhinav Sharma immediately spotted an opportunity and threw the ball towards the stumps in an attempt to catch Noorveer outside his crease.

Following an appeal from the Warriors, the decision was referred to the third umpire. Replays showed that Noorveer had indeed left his crease while the ball remained live, resulting in a run-out dismissal.Β Noorveer appeared unaware that the delivery was still active and had already switched his attention away from the play. His lack of awareness brought his innings to an unexpected end after he scored 10 runs from seven deliveries.

The dismissal proved particularly important for Jalandhar as it ended a 50-run partnership between Noorveer and Uday Saharan. Bathinda Royals then suffered another setback in the following over, putting further pressure on their chase.
Despite Saharan producing an impressive 86 off 43 balls and Shahbaz Singh Sandhu contributing 26 from 13 deliveries, Bathinda Royals ultimately fell just three runs short in a thrilling final-over finish.

Earlier, Jalandhar Warriors posted 205 after being asked to bat first. Captain Prabhsimran Singh led the way with his second consecutive century, smashing 110 off 56 balls, including 10 fours and seven sixes.Β He revived the innings after Jalandhar slipped to 62/3, adding 118 runs with Aryan Yadav, who scored 39 off 19 balls. However, the Warriors dramatically collapsed from 180/3 to 205 all out with three balls remaining.
