An England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) security delegation has arrived in Pakistan to assess the arrangements ahead of England’s participation in the upcoming ODI tri-nation series. The visit is part of the standard security process followed before international teams travel to Pakistan.
The delegation includes independent security specialists who will inspect the venues and team hotels in Lahore and Rawalpindi. They will also meet officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and government authorities to receive detailed briefings on the security measures planned for England’s tour.
The security team is scheduled to conduct inspections in Lahore and Rawalpindi on Monday before preparing a report for the ECB. The findings will help the board assess whether the arrangements meet the required standards ahead of England’s arrival.

A PCB official said such security visits have become a routine part of preparations for international tours, with visiting teams regularly carrying out assessments before travelling to Pakistan.

The ODI tri-series involving Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka is scheduled to take place from October 18 to 31. Matches will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
Sri Lanka are expected to arrive in Pakistan on October 4 for a three-match T20I series against the hosts. The games will be played in Rawalpindi from October 9 to 13, before England join the two teams for the ODI competition.

England have toured Pakistan three times since 2022, featuring in Test cricket as well as a six-match T20I series.
