During the 20th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings at Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked made early inroads by picking up the wicket of Shane Watson.

Kane Williamson, captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, had won the toss and chose to field. The home team had included Ricky Bhui and Billy Stanlake in the playing eleven. Shikhar Dhawan, who was injured in the last match, missed this match citing the same injury. Chennai Super Kings had included Faf du Plessis in place of Imran Tahir.

The Super Kings did not get off to the best of starts. Their below par run rate didn’t help their progress in the powerplay. Their ploy to tinker with their settled opening pair also didn’t come good for them. du Plessis was sent ahead of Ambati Rayudu to open the batting alongside Watson.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who took the new ball for the Sunrisers, took his first wicket in the form of Watson. On the second ball of the fourth over, Watson pulled a short delivery for a six over midwicket. Bhuvneshwar Kumar came back from behind to beat Watson with his knuckle ball as the former Australian all-rounder presented an easy catch to Deepak Hooda.
