The 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup will be held in England that will be played from 30 May to 14 July 2019. It means that the tournament is still seven months away from now and it is enough time to surprise the cricket world from any angle.
Despite that, here we have come with five top international cricketers who are likely to miss the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
Ravichandran Ashwin (India)
The 32-year-old Indian off-spinner was once the no.1 spinner for Indian cricket team in every format. But at the present moment, he is mainly serving in Test cricket.
Ashwin was in the Indian cricket team squad in 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup that won by India. The off-spinner played a vital role in India’s victory in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.
Last time, Ashwin played an ODI match in June 2017. Mainly his inconsistent bowling performances, especially outside the Indian soil, and arise of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have forced him to stay out from the limited-overs international cricket.
Though Ashwin is still the top off-spinner for the Indian cricket team, his chance to appear in 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup seems too tough, until any injuries or any other bad circumstances hit the other Indian spinners.
