The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli has touted as one of the best batsmen of modern day cricket has made a habit of breaking a plethora of record with each passing game and now he is on the verge of setting the records so high that they become unbreakable. Another record was created recently, but strangely enough, Kohli had nothing to do with creating this record, as this time his fans, following their idol, have done the job for the legend in the making!

Virat Kohli’s fans in Mumbai gathered at the Seawood Grand Central Mall in Nerul, Navi Mumbai, and formed a spectacular clay lamp a.k.a diya (in Hindi) mosaic of the cricketer, just days before this year’s Diwali. While the work, as a whole, looks stunning, Virat’s beard has been formed in a detailed manner in the mosaic.

The world’s largest clay lamp mosaic having Kohli’s face on it has been made for a reason. The captain and arguably the strongest pillar of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli, became the fastest batsman to complete 10,000 runs in ODIs in the world after he reached to his 37th century in the 50-over format in the second ODI against the Windies at Visakhapatnam.

Before Virat, the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar held this record. Sachin had taken 259 innings to get to his 10,000 runs, while Virat Kohli, former England captain Michael Vaughan’s G.O.A.T., got to the milestone in just 205 innings.

Here’s the video:

Virat also became the first Indian to score three centuries in three consecutive innings in ODI cricket, after he scored centuries in the first three matches of the ongoing ODI series against Windies. It will be interesting to see if he manages to concluded the high scoring series with yet another stunning performance with the bat for India.

The men in blue are currently leading the 5-match ODI series 2-1. The fifth and final match will be played in Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday.
