Team India is currently locking horns with Australia for the third and the final game of the three-match series in Sydney. The hosts are having an unassailable 1-0 lead in the series as they registered a win in the first game in Brisbane, but the second game in Melbourne was washed out due to the frequent downpour. However, on Sunday, the Australian skipper, Aaron Finch decided to bat first after winning the toss. The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli decided to continue with Krunal Pandya.
The hosts were cruising well as they had a start of 49/0 after the end of the powerplay overs with both the openers intact but they lost their first wickets in the 9th over and reduced to 73/1. In the very next over they lost two back-to-back wickets.
On the first ball of the over, Krunal found D’Arcy Short plumb in front of the wickets, but the Australian batsmen decided to use the DRS but they failed as the bowl was in line and was hitting the stumps as well. Short had tried to sweep to the ball which was pitched in line, no bat involved. Australia ended up losing the DRS as it was quite plumb.

Pandya continued his magic on the very next ball as well as he dismissed Ben McDermott on the golden duck. The batsman attempted a sweep shot on his very first ball which was tossed up outside off from around the wicket, and it slid on and hits the back leg. Krunal failed to get the hat-trick on the next ball.
